The Scottish government has awarded funding as part of the Scottish Government’s Digital Inclusion Programme which is intended to help people access online support services.
The funding will initially be used in mental health and housing services.
Thirteen winning projects will develop, test and implement programmes to help people access the services they need  online  to support their health and wellbeing.

The government has announced £6 million from the new round of Air Quality Grants to improve air quality in local communities.
Local authorities are invited to bid for the funding, which is intended to help councils to develop and implement measures to benefit schools, businesses and communities and reduce the impact of air pollution on people’s health.

The Welsh Government has announced that tourism projects across the country have been awarded a share of the £5 million Brilliant Basics Fund to help deliver a first-class holiday experience.
29 tourism infrastructure projects in north, mid and south west and south east Wales have received investment from the fund, which helps deliver small-scale tourism infrastructure improvements, improve accessibility and make destinations more environmentally sustainable.
The fund is open to to local authorities and national park authorities.

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport has announced the redevelopment of 44 youth centres, set to benefit 12,000 young people.
The upgrades will be funded by a £70 million investment from Government’s Youth Investment Fund.
New youth centres will be built and old ones will be refurbished in order to give young people better access to out-of-school activities.

Deputy prime minister Oliver Dowden has published the National Risk Register, which outlines the risks facing the UK.
The register includes 89 threats that would have a significant impact on the UK’s safety, security or critical systems at a national level.
Threats listed include disruption to energy supplies following the invasion of Ukraine, malicious uses of drones to disrupt transport and other critical operations and threats to undersea transatlantic telecommunications cables used for internet and communications.

The government has announced £43 million of funding for improvements to the A38 Bromsgrove, which should reduce journey times and boost connectivity for residents in the West Midlands.
The scheme will deliver major upgrades on a 4 mile stretch of the A38 between M42 Junction 1 to the north and the junction of A38 with B4094 Worcester Road in the south.
The improvements will focus on improvements at key junctions to prevent bottleneck and improve traffic flow to reduce journey times, as well as create new opportunities for cycling and walking.

Energy security secretary Grant Shapps has announced a £22 million boost for government’s flagship renewables scheme.
The scheme is the government's main system for supporting low-carbon electricity generation and has already led to an increase in the proportion of the UK’s energy coming from renewables.
In 2022, renewables fuelled around 42 per cent of the UK’s electricity generation – this is up from 7 per cent in 2010.

Two projects will receive a share of £8 million funding to develop innovative hydrogen transport projects.
One project led by ULEMCo will develop hydrogen-powered airport ground-based support vehicles, such as tow trucks for aeroplanes and sweepers to clean runways. This will be based at Teesside international airport, which will help the airport reach its goal of being net zero by 2030.

Energy Security Secretary Grant Shapps is set to convene a meeting with industry leaders to discuss the  Government’s energy security and business plans.
Energy companies including EDF, SSE, Shell and BP have multi-billion pound plans to invest in low and zero-carbon projects and will be attending the meeting.
It is hoped the projects will support thousands of jobs across the country, reduce household energy bills and deliver cleaner more secure sources of energy.

The government has launched a £40 million fund to unlock 5g benefits across the UK.
The fund is intended to help local areas boost their digital connectivity and develop advanced wireless technologies that could power everything from innovative healthcare solutions to futuristic farming and smart systems to improve transport and cut congestion.
Local and regional authorities can apply for a share of the fund which is designed to accelerate innovation in sectors such as advanced manufacturing, transport, agriculture and public services.
