The Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) has published guidance for social landlords on how to submit their Tenant Satisfaction Measures results to the regulator.
RSH has also confirmed that landlords which own more than 1,000 homes must submit their first TSM data return by 30 June 2024.
RSH requirements must be followed when submitting the TSM results to ensure they are accurate, consistent and transparent/
The guidance also includes requirements around background and contextual information to support understanding of the results.

Recycling rates on Wales have reached 65.7 per cent - higher than the statutory target of 64 per cent.
The recycling rate is the percentage of local authority collected municipal waste that is reused, recycled or composted.
The statutory minimum target will raise to 70 per cent in 2024-25. Five Welsh local authorities have already met this target - Swansea, Pembrokeshire, Bridgend, Ceredigion and Monmouthshire.
17 of Wales’ 22 local authorities exceeded the 64 per cent target, with 12 local authorities reporting an increase in performance on the previous year.

London Councils has warned that a growing number of refugees are ending up homeless in London after leaving Home Office accommodation.
New research from the cross-party group reports 846 homelessness presentations were made in October from refugees and asylum-seekers evicted from Home Office accommodation such as hotels. This is a 39 per cent increase from September.
London Councils is anticipating that these numbers will rise more over the coming months as the government continues ramping up the number of asylum decisions and works to close several hotels by the new year.

The Mayor of London has launched London's first Rough Sleeping Charter.
The Charter is a public commitment for Londoners to work together to end rough sleeping.
More than 100 charities, faith groups, businesses and people with lived experience have helped to design and develop the charter, which aims to create a shared purpose and vision for tackling the challenge of rough sleeping in the capital.

The Metropolitan Police have launched an investigation into an explosion in Sidcup in which a ULEZ camera and surrounding property were damaged.
It is believed the explosion was caused by a low-sophistication improvised explosive device (IED).
The incident is not being treated as terrorism, but is being investigated by officers from Counter Terrorism Command, which includes those with specialist expertise in explosives.

More than 44,000 homes and businesses across Wales now have access to improved connectivity thanks to the rollout of full fibre broadband.
A four-year project, a partnership between the Welsh Government and Openreach, is now complete and has given access to full fibre connectivity to thousands more properties than the original target of 39,000.
The project was funded by the Welsh Government and the EU, along with Openreach and the UK government. and has also come in under its original budget of £57 million.

A new pilot has been launched to help ten struggling high streets.
The High Street Accelerators programme aims to create partnerships that empower residents and community organisations to work together on long-term regeneration plans.
£7 million of funding is intended to help communities partner with local authorities and businesses to address some of the biggest challenges facing their high streets.

The Local Government Association (LGA) has warned that almost one in five council leaders and chief executives in England think it is very or fairly likely that their chief finance officer will need to issue a Section 114 notice this year or next due to a lack of funding to keep key services running.
The LGA is estimating that councils in England face a £4 billion funding gap over the next two years just to keep services standing and the Autumn Statement did not provide the additional funding needed to protect services from further cuts.

£3.9 million pounds has been announced to deliver better journeys, more quickly for passengers and freight in the North.
Work on the Transpennine Route Upgrade will be accelerated and should lead to quicker journey times, reduced carbon emissions and more reliable services between key northern cities.
Once completed, the upgrade will offer improved services on the Manchester-Huddersfield-Leeds-York route.
Rail users will benefit from a fully-electrified line, accessible stations and more frequent services.

The Mayor of London has announced a £100 million fund to accelerate London-wide decarbonisation in partnership with Sustainable Development Capital LLP (SDCL).
The London Efficient and Decentralised Generation of Energy (EDGE) Fund will support new low-carbon infrastructure projects across London and enable many more organisations across the capital to make energy efficient choices.
£50 million has been committed from City Hall, with the funding matched by SDCL, who will also manage the Fund.
