Welsh deputy climate change minister Lee Waters has confirmed that more than £58m will be invested into ways to help people choose to walk and cycle for local journeys.
The funding will be used for new and improved active travel routes across Wales, with the construction of 37 new active travel routes and the detailed development of a further 22. There will also be 30 local authority Safe Routes in Communities schemes, with £3m for the Strategic Road Network.

Six Scottish islands have published their Community Climate Action Plans, developed as part of the Carbon Neutral Islands (CNI) project.
Great Cumbrae, Barra, Hoy, Islay, Raasay and Yell each developed their own plan, compiling existing knowledge and data, and setting out the key actions they will take to help them achieve a carbon neutral and sustainable future.
The project is supporting the islands to become carbon neutral by 2040.

A report by MPs has found that former prime minister Boris Johnson deliberately misled   the House of Commons over lockdown parties held at No. 10.
The Privileges Committee has said it would have recommended suspending Johnson from the House of Commons for 90. However, Boris Johnson has already resigned as an MP.
The Committee concluded that Johnson deliberated misled the Committee and the House, impugned the Committee and was also complicit in abuse and attempted intimidation of the Committee.
