Greater Manchester Combined Authority has launched a new campaign to save people money on their energy bills and help the environment.
Politicians from across the region, as well as a host of other organisations, have switched their homes to clean electricity as part of a new campaign, known as the Greater Manchester Big Clean Switch campaign, which is believed to be the first of its kind in the UK.
During the September pilot, the average household saved over £290 a year by using 100 per cent renewable electricity.
