Wirral Council has announced that it has saved £336,000 since it switched from Oracle support to Support Revolution three years ago.
The authority, which employs 3,500 people, has been able to invest further in its plan to create a more agile workforce as a result of the cost savings, enabling more remote working and a migration to Windows 10 for all of its users. The £336,000 savings on its software support and maintenance systems, which will feed into the council’s IT transformation project, is key under current budget pressures.

The ‘Keep Manchester Tidy’ campaign is the first formal partnership between a UK city and the Keep Britain Tidy charity and hopes to be a trailblazer for a national network of ‘Tidy Cities’ in the future. It aims to create a cleaner city, with better parks, green spaces and waterways, which recycles more and plays its part in limiting the impacts of climate change.
