The Welsh Government is helping to revitalise sporting facilities across Wales.
Since 2022, Sport Wales’s Court Collaboration Fund, funded by the Welsh Government, has awarded over £1.4 million to projects across 12 Local Authorities to transform predominantly tennis courts into other, more inclusive, team sport facilities such as those for netball and basketball.

The government has confirmed it will be expanding its free breakfast club scheme to 2,000 new schools from April 2026.
Supported by £80 million investment, the 2,000 new schools will join the 750 schools already successfully delivering free breakfast clubs as part of the early adopter scheme, driving improvements in children’s attendance, attainment and behaviour.
