Funding from the Social Housing Grant has been provided to build 55 social homes in Port Talbot.
The County Flats project will see the transformation of 72 existing flats as well as the creation of 55 new homes.
The 72 existing flats have been upgraded through the Optimised Retrofit Programme. The improvements include thermal upgrades, solar panels, insulation and double-glazed windows.
Meanwhile, the new-build properties will include Air Source Heat Pumps.

According to a survey from the LGA, more than a fifth of councillors have received death threats or threats of violence.
23 per cent of councillors have received abuse serious enough to report to the police.
The survey forms part of the LGA's Debate Not Hate campaign.
49 per cent of respondents said that abuse had got worse over the past year.
One in 10 councillors had had someone attend their home in a way that they considered intimidating, and as well as this, 43 per cent requested to withhold their home address from the public due to safety concerns.

Chancellor Rachel Reeves has convened the inaugural meeting of the British Infrastructure Taskforce.
This is part of a new approach that involves government working with business to design policy that will unlock private investment, including by building business confidence in UK infrastructure investments.
The Taskforce will be exploring different options to support the Government's infrastructure goals to drive growth for the whole of the nation.

The government has awarded funding of £12 million to projects across the UK that are researching technology to support people with addictions.
One of the projects pairs a chest-worn sensor that monitors breathing to a mobile device that sends out an immediate alert to nearby antidote carriers and emergency services if an overdose is detected, helping people get potentially life-saving treatment as soon as possible.

The National Drought Group has meet to discuss preparations for extreme weather.
The group heard the the changing climate means we will see more extreme weather in the coming years.
The meeting was chaired by the Environment Agency and attended by water minister Emma Hardy.
Currently, water resources are healthy following the wettest 12 months on record in England.
However, the group agreed that flood and drought should be viewed as different sides of the same coin and England needs to be prepared for an increase of both in the coming years.

The council is part of a consortium, along with four other authorities across the Midlands.

The House of Lords (Hereditary Peers) Bill will remove the right of the remaining 92 hereditary peers to sit and vote in the House of Lords.

The UK is one of only two countries in the world with a hereditary element in its legislature - the other being Lesotho.

£30 million of funding from Homes England has been announced to transform Sunderland's former industrial heartland into a new urban quarter.
Sunderland City Council and Homes England have agreed a funding package that will help accelerate the ongoing transformation at Riverside Sunderland. The council will be providing £49.94 million. The total infrastructure investment will be almost £80 million.
