Plans to provide electric vehicle-only parking bays in Dundee in two city parks is underway.
The plans propose that there be 20 electric vehicle-only bays in one of the selected parks, as well as an area for a transformer and battery storage. The other area is expected to be made into a car park that is only for the use of electric vehicles that are being charged., with members of Dundee City Council’s city development committee are set to be asked to approve the proposals for the EV bays on 24 April.

Adur and Worthing Councils have announced the £4.2 million purchase of 24 new waste trucks to maintain the weekly collection of residential refuse.
The trucks, ordered by sole UK manufacturer Dennis Eagle, will be on the road by the beginning of the Summer and will replace the current fleet that is 10 years old.
The announcement comes as a number of local authorities are opting for bi weekly, three weekly and in some cases monthly residential refuse collections in a bid to save money.
