£90 million in low-interest loans made available for affordable housing

The Welsh Government has made £90 million in low interest loans available to Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) to deliver more homes for people across Wales.
The loans are designed to help the housing sector with the escalating costs of debt and support the delivery of 277 affordable homes, and improvement works to 4,397 existing homes.
Improvement works will help bring homes up to the Welsh Housing Quality Standard, making sure they are affordable to heat and fit for the future.
The loans will range between £5 million and £10 million.

£500 million for councils to restore family services

Councils are to receive £500 million to restore family services.
Funding for preventive services has doubled to drive restoration in family and parenting support across every English council. It is hoped more vulnerable children will be prevented from falling through the cracks as the government restores family support services.
New guidance has set out an expectation on all councils and their partners to reform family support services to enable earlier intervention and better protect children from harm.

Welsh Government's Second Supplementary Budget approved

The Welsh Government's Second Supplementary Budget has been approved by the Senedd.
The £789 million funding package, was published in February and received final approval on Tuesday.
