Most Liverpudlians expect to continue walking and cycling
New Liverpool City Region research has shown that most people in the area expect to continue walking and cycling to get around following lockdown.
More people have turned to walking and cycling to get around during the coronavirus lockdown, partly due to advice to avoid public transport, and a Liverpool City Region transport survey has found that 59 per cent expect to continue this even as restrictions are lifted.

£16m of Resilient Roads Fund to Welsh local authorities
Ken Skates has announced that over £16 million in transport grants will support 18 schemes across Wales to improve roads.
The Minister for Economy, Transport and North Wales announced that, in total, 21 applications were received from 13 local authorities for the funding, with the £16.9 million set to be spent on schemes to mitigate and adapt to the effects of climate change, including addressing disruptions caused on the highway network by the severe weather.

A package of support has been announced to help high streets to get back on their feet, ahead of shops reopening from 15 June.
The High Streets Task Force will provide access to cutting-edge tools, training, information and advice for high streets across England as part of the government’s efforts to get shops back in business safely.
