Social housing sector in good financial health
The Regulator of Social Housing has published the results of its latest Quarterly survey of registered providers’ financial health.
The RSH states that the sector remained financially healthy over the quarter and the financial year despite the pressures caused by the pandemic, supporting investor confidence, with good access to finance enabling investment in new and existing homes.

Half a million children now eligible for free school meals
The Labour Party has estimated that more than half a million children have become eligible for free school meals during the pandemic.
Government data shows that from March to October 2020 over 11,000 children became eligible for free school meals each week. Combined with Labour Freedom of Information data this suggests over 418,000 children became eligible for free school meals from March to December 2020.
