His Majesty The King’s Official Portrait Scheme has now been extended to include hospitals, coastguard operations centres, job centres, universities, Church of England churches and other public institutions.
Institutions can apply for one free framed portrait per establishment.

The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has urged organisations to boost their cyber security and protect the personal information they hold, as the threat from cyber attacks continues to grow.
Data from the ICO shows that more organisations than ever are experiencing cyber security breaches. Over 3,000 cyber breaches were reported in 2023, with the finance (22 per cent), retail (18 per cent) and education (11 per cent) sectors reporting the most incidents.

Welsh climate change and rural affair secretary Huw Irranca-Davies has named six sites to be added to the National Forest of Wales.
He made the announcement on a visit to meet woodland volunteers at a site in Coed y Bont near Tregaron.
The news means that there are now more than 100 National Forest sites in Wales.
The National Forest for Wales status scheme will create a network of woodlands with interconnected ecosystems.

The UK's first national security operations centre has launched in Wales.
The scheme is the first of its kind in the UK, and aims to protect Welsh local authorities and all fire and rescue services in Wales from cyber-attacks.
CymruSOC (Security Operations Centre) is led by the Welsh Government, in collaboration with Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council and will help ensure that key organisations can continue offering critical services without disruption due to cyber-attacks.

The government has announced new funding to support island communities.
£1.6 million will be used to improve transport links and therefore support local jobs and grow the economy.
Levelling up secretary Michael Gove made the announcement ahead of the fourth UK Islands Forum in Anglesey on 8 May.
The UK Islands Forum Connectivity Project will look at identifying options to improve transport in these distinct parts of the UK, which are often reliant of air and ferry services.

New first minister John Swinney has announced his cabinet, with Kate Forbes becoming the youngest ever deputy first minister.
Forbes, who was defeated by Humza Yousaf in the previous leadership contest, will also take on the economy portfolio and responsibility for Gaelic.
The new cabinet will consist of 11 cabinet secretaries, supported by 14 ministers, reducing the size of the government by four since the start of the year.

Households in England will be able to put recyclables in one bin under simpler collection rules, the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs has said.

The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities has confirmed the reappointment of two non-executive directors for another three years.
Lord (Gary) Porter CBE and Jeffrey Dodds will continue to advise the department until June 2027.
The pair joined the board in 2021 and provide independent advice and challenge across multiple policies.
Lord Porter has worked in local government and construction and advises on these topics.
Dodds' expertise is in digital and innovation, having worked at Formula E and Virgin.
