Greg Clark has been given the new position of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Secretary.
The former Communities Secretary has seen his cabinet position changed as part of new Prime Minister Theresa May's full reshuffle. His appointment also marks the closure of the Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC), with UK energy policy being transferred to the new ministry.
Clark has some experience in the sector having served as shadow DECC Secretary between 2008 and 2010.
