CYB Environmental

Japanese Knotweed and invasive species specialists

CYB Environmental is a modern and dynamic company who specialise in providing treatment and removal of Japanese Knotweed, management of other invasive species and specialist advice for both residential and commercial clients. CYB environmental hold full Property Care Association (PCA) accreditation (Invasive Weeds Group) and are passionate about providing a professional and friendly service whilst combating problem species. Although Japanese Knotweed is the most recognised invasive species – and for good reason – there are numerous other species that require regular management, including: Giant Hogweed, Himalayan Balsam, Buddleia, Bamboo and common weeds.

CYB team members are extremely experienced within the industry, with qualified Japanese Knotweed surveyors (CSJK - Certified Surveyors in Japanese Knotweed) and operatives qualified in the safe use of pesticides (PA1/PA6). These combined skills provide an unrivalled knowledge of issues and ensure clients’ needs are met without compromise.

CYB can provide formal reports on the location of several species, outlining the extent of the invasive weed infestation, along with a proposed long-term management plan to deal with the problem. Management plans are tailored to the specific site and species that are needing to be controlled. Management plans are a long-term strategy for control and can range from 1-5 years, with reporting and feedback along every step of the way.

CYB specifically implement Japanese Knotweed herbicide management plans for housing associations (Hyde Housing and L&Q), local authorities (Southwark, Camden, Croydon) and private homeowners, who need a formal management plan. A 10 year insurance backed guarantee, usually for lending purposes, gives everyone peace of mind that the problem is being dealt with in the most thorough way possible. CYB can also offer full eradication/removal of Japanese Knotweed infested soils, allowing development to continue without delay. Landowners have a legal responsibility to prevent Japanese Knotweed spreading onto private land. Acting quickly can allow for the effective management of one controlled area, reducing the risk of encroachment, within the subject property’s land as well as neighbouring.Based in London, with satellite offices in Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter and the Midlands, we are strategically located to serve our residential and commercial clients across Southern Britain. Our commitment to the professionalism of the PCA ensures that we continue to provide a high quality service, accurately meet client objectives, whilst maintaining traditional values of honesty, integrity and professionalism.
