The Wellcome Trust Conference Centre comprises a purpose-built conference centre and a Grade II* listed country house, Hinxton Hall, set in over 100 acres of open parkland on the banks of the River Cam.
 The state-of-the-art facilities include a spectacular 300-seat auditorium with the surrounding Cloisters which provide the perfect space for exhibitions and can accommodate up to 56 displays in a continuous walkway allowing maximum through-flow of visitors.
Additionally there is a flexible 60-seat meeting room, a self contained training suite and a dedicated IT training room with 20 dual book desktop computers. The IT training room has recently been refurbished with integrated furniture, which allows easy store away for all computers and monitors to create a classroom style layout for up to 40 delegates.
All meeting rooms boast natural daylight, natural air ventilation and are fully air-conditioned.
In contrast, the Grade II* listed Hinxton Hall perfectly compliments the modern conference centre with meeting rooms overlooking beautiful parkland including the ornately decorated Pompeiian Room.
The Hall restaurant offers dining for up to 200 and private dining is also available. Hot buffet and silver service menus are available, created by award winning chefs.
The extensive grounds offer space for outdoor events such as team building and BBQ’s and are the perfect location for a marquee for larger events.
A choice of excellent residential accommodation is also available. Hinxton Hall provides 10 executive-style bedrooms alongside a further 60 bedrooms within the Residential Court. There is also a 2 bedroom self-contained cottage on site.
An 18 month refurbishment programme of all of the bedrooms has recently been completed. The Residential Court Rooms have a new stylish, timeless design and the executive rooms, in Hinxton Hall, have a new stylish, classical design, in keeping with the 18th century Hall. The bedrooms have received their new look with new beds, flooring, soft furnishings, hairdryers and digital television, creating stylish, comfortable rooms with complimentary wireless LAN connections.
With the M11 a mere 2 minutes away and within easy access of Cambridge, London and London Stansted Airport the Wellcome Trust Conference Centre is the ideal venue for meetings, conferences, exhibitions and training courses. |
